Oxfam plan orange protest at CAP

Thousands of oranges will be dumped on the European Commission’s London doorstep tomorrow in protest against the EU’s farm policy.

Oxfam, which is staging the demonstration, says the heavily-subsidised Common Agricultural Policy enables European farmers to undercut Third World food production, pricing desperately-poor local growers out of their own markets.
