Bailey's is to move some of its cream liqueur production to Germany.

The owners of the brand, Diageo - who also own Guinness - are to manufacture a sister drink in Germany.

Bailey's Glide is a less creamy version of the Irish original and will have a lower alcohol content.

Baileys say they are moving the production to Germany because the technology needed to mix the liqueur is not available in Ireland.

The drink is set to be released in Britain first next month and will arrive in Ireland next year.
