The drinks firm Diageo is reportedly planning to impose a 2% price hike that could put an extra 10 cents on the cost of a pint of Guinness.

DIAGEO spent close to €75 million closing its Guinness brewery in London and shifting capacity to St James Gate in Dublin, it emerged last night.

Drinks giant Diageo warned today that currency swings would slash up to €150m from its full-year profits.

Bailey's is to move some of its cream liqueur production to Germany.
