Dixons sign up for deal with AOL
Retail chain Dixons is to ditch a five-year joint venture with Freeserve in favour of a new tie-up with US giant AOL, it was reported today.
The existing arrangement involves Dixons pre-loading the Internet service provider’s software onto PCs sold in Dixons, PC World and Curry’s.
AOL is expected to replace Freeserve in February with Dixons likely to make an announcement on the matter in the next few weeks, the British Sunday Telegraph said.
