Textile industry urged to focus on new products

The Irish Clothing and Textiles Alliance has urged the textile industry to focus on developing new products in an effort to reverse the recent downturn in the sector.

The alliance said Irish textile firms are not using available government research and development supports to their full potential.

It said companies could make considerable profits if they found a new gap in the clothing and textiles market.
