Irish tech firm joins US and European venture
Irish company Sepro and US company Bridgewater Systems have announced a new venture that will enable service providers to deliver end-to-end managed Wireless LAN (WLAN) services to their enterprise customers.
Bridgewater is a provider of dynamic IP and data service fulfillment and assurance solutions, and Sepro, a provider of versatile Business Support applications.
The two companies will jointly target service providers in North America and Europe and have plans to launch similar solutions aimed at the xDSL and GSM markets.
"WLANs offer enterprises a plethora of advantages, including increased productivity, reduced cabling and wiring costs and external access for visiting customers and partners," said Russ Freen, chief technology officer, Bridgewater Systems.
"But implementing them in a timely, cost-effective and secure manner is often problematic.
"Our partnership addresses this issue squarely. It will enable carriers in North America and Europe to manage complete services, so that they can offer profitable, securely managed WLAN service to enterprises at a reasonable price."
