Equality claims up 40%, says Tribunal

Employment equality claims were up 40% for the first six months of 2003 according to the latest figures from the Equality Tribunal.

Equal status claims showed a 21% decrease while overall there was a 10% per cent drop in the total number of claims compared to the same period in 2002.
