Retailers have been accused of failing to pass a cut in manufacturing prices onto consumers.

The Wholesale Price Index, published by the Central Statistics Office, shows factory prices dropped by more than 10% in the past year, but retail prices are still going up.

Chief Executive of the Consumers Association Dermot Jewell said this evening: "Only the Government has the power to change this."
