Tote to handle over €7m at Galway festival

Racegoers at next week’s Galway festival have minimum jackpot pool guarantees of €25,000 to look forward to.

Tote Ireland are offering a Guaranteed Jackpot of €70,000 on both the Galway Plate and the Galway Hurdle on the Wednesday and Thursday.

€1,000 will be added to the Trio Pool of the feature event each day including these two races.

The opening two days see the pool guaranteed for €40,000.

The Galway Races is the biggest racing festival in Ireland and over 280 Tote staff will be on duty during the seven days.

It is estimated that over one million transactions will be handled generating a turnover of up to €7m.
