Electronic manufacturing company Keytech has appointed a receiver, Aidan O’Connell of Deloitte & Touche.

Electronic manufacturing company Keytech has appointed a receiver, Aidan O’Connell of Deloitte & Touche.

The company, with operations in Limerick and Cork manufactures products for the telecoms, computer and networking sector.

The company employs around 100 people between its two operations and is continuing to trade while a buyer is sought for its business units.

In 2000, the company received funding of around €6m from Hibernia Capital Partners.

Other investors in the company included Business and Trading House Investment and Shannon Development.

At that time the company employed 300 people and had been named in Time magazine as one of Europe’s fastest growing companies.
