BoI technical staff to serve two weeks strike notice
Workers at Bank of Ireland ITSIS have announced plans to go on strike over the "out-sourcing" of their work to Hewlett Packard.
The Irish Bank Officials Association is due to serve two weeks strike notice on the company today.
The ITSIS workers, who provide technical support for the Bank of Ireland's computer systems, said the bank had signed a seven-year, $600m (€529m) contract with Hewlett Packard, but had only given staff job security assurances for the next two years.
