Minister launches net security site

The Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural resources Dermot Ahern has launched a new website to inform people about the dangers of computer viruses.

The website address is netsecure.ie. Communications Minister Dermot Ahern says the website is essential for frequent computer users.

"It's an information campaign to alert people to the difficulties. The website is designed to talk people through the difficulties and from that point of view I think it is a very good campaign."

Netsecure.ie is the official website of the National Awareness campaign on Computer security.
