Dominance in energy market causes concern
A new report from the International Energy Agency is warning that more will have to be done to cut the share of the Irish market enjoyed by the ESB and Bord Gais.
The agency is an independent international body, which reviews national energy policies every four years.
The Minister for Natural Resources, Dermot Ahern, has admitted this evening that it will be difficult to get the balance right between market reform and security of energy supply.
