Independent public transport provider Aircoach ferried more than 4,000 passengers in its first month of operation on their new south Co Dublin link to Dublin airport.

The route services the Stillorgan Road bus corridor along the N11 from Leopardstown as well as the hinterland of Stillorgan and Sandyford industrial parks.

Established in 1999, Aircoach is a 100% Irish-owned company and recently won the contract from airport operator Aer Rianta to ferry passengers to and from the long-term carparks at Dublin Airport.

Aircoach Managing Director, John O'Sullivan, said: "We are delighted with this new route and the progress that it has made in one month.

"This new service to Stillorgan and Leopardstown is bringing to the public a high quality and frequent service from the heart of South County Dublin to Dublin Airport," he added.

The Minister for Transport, Seamus Brennan officially launched the service today.
