Thirty jobs go as Unlimited closes
Dublin e-learning company Unlimited has been put into liquidation following debts of around €1.8m. The closure will see 30 staff lose their jobs.
Unlimited was founded by Emmet Hedigan and Brendan Thompson in 1989 in Cork to resell internet and CD-Rom based training products, with offices in Dublin, Wicklow, Belfast and the UK opening soon afterwards.
Unlimited grew by acquisition, purchasing a multimedia company, ISI Interact in 2001.
However, the company now owes debts of around €1.8m to a series of debtors including the Revenue Commissioners, the company founders, Digital Media Development and the Educational Multimedia Group. Its realisable assets are only valued at around €0.36m.
