M&S staff enjoy €65m windfall

Staff at Marks and Spencer are sharing bonus payments totalling £43m sterling - around €65m.

The British High Street giant - which has turned around its fortunes - has given awards to 65,000 staff, some of them in Ireland.

Some of the cash is going to the directors, with chairman Luc Vandevelde picking up more than €1m.
