Hibernia Atlantic is to launch a transatlantic cable system linking Ireland to North America through its Dublin-Boston Cable Network.

The company, set up by Columbia Ventures purchased the transatlantic cable network of Network 360 after it went into receivership. It has since spent €15m in upgrading the network.
