Smith & Nephew has received the go-ahead from the European Commission for its planned takeover of Swiss rival Centerpulse.

Smith & Nephew has received the go-ahead from the European Commission for its planned takeover of Swiss rival Centerpulse.

Last week US-based Zimmer said it was considering launching a rival bid.
