Bord Bia and IFA promote lamb in France
French supermarkets want to cut the price of Irish lamb.
Bord Bia's promotion of lamb starts in Paris this weekend, but factories here have been under pressure to lower the cost so that it sells better.
Just 50% of Ireland's total production is available for export because of home market demand.
Laurence Fallon of the IFA said this evening: "It's worth every penny."
