Company awarded contract for tolls at Drogheda by-pass
NTR plc has been awarded the contract to operate the temporary toll collections on the M1.
From next month, drivers will have to pay to use Drogheda by-pass.
The National Roads Authority says tolls will be collected for at least six months and the money reinvested to complete the motorway.
National Road Tolls plc have been given the contract to run the operation. The new stretch of motorway is expected to cut journey times between Belfast and Dublin by 20 minutes.
