Mapflow completes UK contract

Mapflow has completed a web-based ASP application that provides mapping to Amatics, as part of its telematics solution for Transco PLC.

Transco is the largest investor-owned utility in the UK. It recently merged with the National Grid to form ‘National Grid Transco’.

It operates major electricity transmission and natural gas transportation networks.

Mapflow’s solution provided to Amatics generates mapping and address details to its web-based software application, which in turn supports the management of more than 6,000 Transco Vehicles across the UK.

The Amatics application provides a range of GPS enabled functionality as well as a mapping service.

The mapping, delivered by Mapflow, integrates the graphical location of each vehicle within the Amatics application.

With its headquarters in Dublin, Mapflow provides technology to enable real-time location-based services for internet-enabled devices.

Its product LocationAgent, is a carrier grade XML and JAVA based infrastructure platform.

Customers include 02, Western Wireless, NTL and eircom.
