The European Space Agency has awarded a contract to a Co Galway-based firm, CTL Tastail Teoranta.

The contract, which involves evaluating and testing manufacturing methods for advanced carbon fibre compounds, is aimed at finding a cheaper way to build liquid fuel tanks for use in space launchers.
