French airline Brit Air will suspend its flights between Strasbourg and London from May 17 because of what it says is unfair competition from Irish budget carrier Ryanair.

French airline Brit Air will suspend its flights between Strasbourg and London from May 17 because of what it says is unfair competition from Irish budget carrier Ryanair.

In a statement, Brit Air said it can no longer compete with Ryanair because the rival airline allegedly receives financial aid from the local Chamber of Commerce, enabling it to charge lower fares on the Strasbourg-London route.
