An Bord Pleanála rejects Dublin incinerator plans

An Bord Pleanála has refused planning permission for a proposed €40m waste incinerator near Balbriggan in north Co Dublin.

Fingal County Council had rejected the planning application from German firm Herhof last June.

An Bord Pleanala upheld that decision today on the grounds that the project would be contrary to the proper planning and development of the area and would restrict traffic between the M1 and the N1.
