End to war sees FTSE close up
Renewed hopes that coalition troops can bring a swift end to the war in Iraq helped boost share prices in London for the second successive day yesterday.
A strong opening on Wall Street helped the FTSE 100 Index to maintain earlier gains and close up 68.6 points at 3753.4.
