Quinn-Direct to create 350 jobs in Co Fermanagh

Quinn-Direct Insurance has announced plans to create an estimated 350 jobs at a new facility in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

The Irish firm is planning to invest €8m in the facility, which is backed by €2.1m in grants from Invest Northern Ireland.

The company said its workforce would be built up over time, with a target of 350 by 2006.

Chief executive Sean Quinn said his objective was to increase the company's share of the Irish insurance market - currently 9% in the Republic and 6% north of the border.
