Farmers in new demand to meat factories

Cattle farmers are calling on meat factories to pay a minimum of €2.41 per kilogram for medium quality cattle.

The IFA's Livestock Committee says this is the minimum price acceptable to producers for R-Grade cattle, as it would leave producers in a break-even situation at best.
