Budget airline passenger numbers soaring
Passenger numbers on budget airlines continue to soar, new figures out today revealed.
Low-fare airline easyJet carried nearly 1.59 million passengers last month – a 43.9% increase on February 2002.
The total includes more than 380,000 who flew on no-frills carrier Go, which easyJet has acquired.
EasyJet’s planes were 88.7% full in February 2003 – an increase of 4.6% on the February 2002 figure.
In the 12 months ending February 2003, easyJet carried more than 18.2 million passengers.
