Eidos back in black after three years
Eidos, the games developer which brought Tomb Raider heroine Lara Croft to computer screens, today said it had returned to profit after three years in the red.
Sales of its Hitman 2 and Timesplitters 2 gas topped a million copies each, helping Eidos to turn a £2.2m (€3.21m) loss in the six months to December 31 2001 into bottom-line profits of £6.7m (€9.78m) this time.
