Top British firms facing £100bn pension deficit
The UK’s top companies are collectively facing a pensions blackhole of up to £100bn (€144bn), research claimed today.
Investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein estimates FTSE 100 companies have pensions deficits adding up to between £50bn (€75bn) and £100bn (€144bn).
