Harpic-to-Calgonit group Reckitt Benckiser today pledged to grow sales by up to 6% this year as it prepared to launch a range of new products.

The company will introduce updated versions of existing brands such as home freshener Airwick and surface care product Dettol.

Reckitt hopes the initiatives for the first half of this year will play a part in it achieving net income growth in the low double digits during 2003.

The company has also set itself a target of a 4% to 6% leap in sales – weaker than the 7% rise to £3.53bn (€5.25bn) seen in 2002.
