Euronet denies in takeover talks with Alphyra

Euronet, which was reported to be interested in taking over Alphyra, said yesterday that it was not in takeover talks with the company. It said that it had been in discussions with Alphyra, but this was some time ago.

In the meantime, the Irish Times reports that a group of shareholders, owning a total of around 30% of the shares in the company, are working with a Dublin stockbroker in an effort to push up the value of the takeover offer.
