David Yelland has resigned as editor of The Sun after more than four years, it was announced today.
He will be replaced by News of the World editor Rebekah Wade from tomorrow, publisher News International said.
Wade was deputy editor of The Sun until she took up the reins at the Sunday title in May 2000.
