Ninety-seven per cent of tourists who visited Ireland last year would recommend the country to their friends and relatives.

Ninety-seven per cent of tourists who visited Ireland last year would recommend the country to their friends and relatives.

That's according to a survey conducted by CERT, which monitors Ireland's accommodation and dining services.

CERT said uncertainty about an imminent US war on Iraq is keeping American tourists at bay, while continental Europe may present new challenges on the value for money front.
