Vodafone and Superquinn in recycling campaign

Vodafone, in partnership with Superquinn, has announced details of the Vodafone/Superquinn Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign.

This recycling campaign is an extension of the Vodafone Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign, which was successfully launched by Vodafone in 100 Vodafone agent outlets in May 2002. The aim of the recycling campaign is to ensure that unused phones are disposed of properly, following the "reduce, reuse and recycle" principle, and that consumers are educated about all matters relating to conservation and the environment.

All proceeds raised through the collection of the mobile phones are donated to the Vodafone and Conservation Volunteers Ireland Nature Fund, which will be used to support environmental projects on a local basis across Ireland.

The Vodafone/Superquinn campaign will increase the accessibility of the recycling programme with Vodafone providing specially designed mobile phone recycling containers to each of Superquinn's 19 retail outlets throughout Ireland, placing them at the primary exit doorways of all stores.

Vodafone and Superquinn are partnered in this campaign by Conservation Volunteers Ireland, the national organisation that works towards enhancing and protecting the natural environment.
