Tourism Ireland launches second all-Ireland campaign
Tourism Ireland has launched its second successive all-Ireland campaign to attract foreign visitors to both the Republic and the North.
The campaign, which consists of television, radio and newspaper advertisements, will focus on Britain, the United States and continental Europe.
Tourism Ireland chief executive Paul O'Toole said the Irish tourism industry has begun to recover following the September 2001 attacks on the US.
"When the numbers are finally counted for the end of 2002, we may get a pleasant surprise," he said.
"Yes, we will have lost business, but compared to many of our European competitors, we have done rather better."
