Animation giant Pixar to join Nasdaq

Pixar Animation Studios Inc said it will from Monday, December 23 become a component of the Nasdaq 100 index of leading non-financial stocks listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

Shares in the animation studio, which was behind the successful "Toy Story" and "Monsters, Inc" animated films through a pact with Walt Disney Co, will also be added to the Nasdaq 100 index tracking stock.
