Openet wins Product of the Year Award

Openet Telecom, a Dublin provider of real-time charging and convergent mediation solutions, today announced it has received the 2002 Product of the Year award from Technology Marketing Corporation’s Internet Telephony® Magazine.

“Openet Telecom’s product is a clear leader in the IP telephony industry. We’re proud to reward their hard work and innovation with a Product of the Year Award for 2002,” said Rich Tehrani, president of TMC and group editor-in-chief of Internet Telephony®.

The award was granted to Openet for its product FusionWorks ActiveCharge, a real-time charging platform that enables network operators to deliver any service, over any packet-based network, to any subscriber and charge by any payment method in real-time, maximising revenue from advanced IP and content services. By being able to deliver all services to all subscribers, operators can increase average revenue per user, maintain tighter financial control through reduced fraud and bad debt and improve customer profiling.
