German Oct total jobless 3.92 million - report

The total number of jobless for the whole of Germany in October was almost 3.92 million, up 190,000 from October a year ago, reported Die Welt, citing no sources.

This is the highest October jobless total in five years, the paper said.

The total unadjusted number of jobless in September in Germany fell 76,400 from August to 3,941,800, but was up 198,800 year-on-year.

The German Labour Office will publish official figures next Thursday.
