ESB to develop Clare wind-farm

Planning permission has been granted to the ESB for the construction of a €20m renewable energy wind farm at the Moneypoint power station in Co Clare.

The wind farm will supply 20,000 Clare homes with their power.

The ESB said work on the construction of the wind farm will start next year.

The project will involve the building of nine turbines which will be located at the company's existing Moneypoint site.
