LAN completes new IT infrastructure for research body

LAN Communications LAN has announced the completion of a €450.000 contract with the Research Institute for Networks and Communication Engineering (RINCE) to design and build a multimedia-ready networking infrastructure.

The communications platform serves 250 staff and students, is located on-campus at Dublin City University and supports a long-term programme of inter-disciplinary research, including broadband switching, microelectronics and artificial life.

RINCE is one of the initiatives being funded by the Higher Education Authority's research programme
