100,000 job-seekers looking for different work

Scores of thousands of workers have set their sights on securing a better job in the near future, according to numbers released today.

Recruitment website RecruitIreland.com announced today that 100,000 candidates have now set up individual accounts on the site in their search for a better job.

"The huge numbers of candidates registering their job search details further highlights the shift away from the sellers' market and candidate shortages of the past one to two years," said a spokeswoman.

The website, which is owned by Thomas Crosbie Holdings currently has in excess of 6,000 jobs on offer to candidates with a 1,500 jobs advertised on the site every week.
