McCreevy: Economic prospects look grimmer
Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy today conceded that the prospects for Ireland’s economy were grimmer that believed just a few months ago.
He formally lowered growth forecasts previously issued by his department, and admitted: “The reality is that economic growth over the period 2003 to 2005 is likely to be significantly less than projected last June.”
