UK companies Logica and CMG are in talks to merge into what would be Europe's third largest computer services company, behind Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young and Atos Origin.

UK companies Logica and CMG are in talks to merge into what would be Europe's third largest computer services company, behind Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young and Atos Origin.

Logica's shareholders would own 60% of the company with the balance held by CMG. Following the announcement, shares in CMG rose 45% on the day.
