Sports chain brings forward sales results

British sportswear retailer JJB Sports was seeking to reassure the City about its trading performance today as it looks to recover from the death of chief executive Duncan Sharpe.

The Wigan-based group has brought forward results for the first half of its financial year by a day in light of the tragic circumstances surrounding Mr Sharpe’s death.
