O2 Ireland on track to meet expectations
Number two mobile operator in the Republic, O2 Ireland's parent company, mmO2 has said that it is on track to meet its Q3 expectations.
The company, which operates networks in Germany, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland saw its Q2 customer numbers increase across all countries by 292,000 although Irish numbers were down by 19,000 with its Average Revenue Per Customer (ARPU) rise slightly to £333 (€530) from £329 (€524) the previous quarter.
Now the company says that it expects to reach its targets concerning EBIDTA and service revenues along with benefits from restructuring measures it has been implementing.
The company has also announced that it would launch its MMS service here in October, allowing users of the network to send high quality multimedia messages including colour pictures and video clips. MMS is also scheduled to be launched in the UK and Germany in October as well.
