Commission: HICP outlook 'not positive'

A European Commission spokesman said the early estimate for the eurozone's harmonised index of consumer prices in September is "not a very positive result".

EU statistics office Eurostat said the euro zone's HICP is expected to be up by 2.2pc year-on-year in September, compared with a rise of 2.1pc in August and economists' forecasts of 2.0pc.
