Hong Kong shares close morning lower
Share prices closed the morning lower after further overnight losses on US and European markets, led by continued selling pressure on Hang Seng Index heavyweight HSBC, dealers said.
However, there was modest support in other sectors, including telecommunications and property, which had been oversold in recent weeks, they said.

The Hang Seng September contract was at 9,118 points.
The China Enterprises index was down 7.34 points at 1,899.53 and the CAC index down 1.5 points at 981.85.
The GEM index was down 1.99 points at 121.00.
The Tracker Fund was down 0.10 hkd at 9.30.
