Campbell Soups has now been given the go-ahead to take over Erin foods.

Campbell Soups has now been given the go-ahead to take over Erin foods.

The mergers control authority is allowing the sale of the Thurles-based subsidiary of Greencore.

The Erin and McDonnell ranges will give Campbells the number two foothold in Ireland's packet soup market.
