Winners of Golden Spider Awards 2002 announced

The winners of the Golden Spider Awards, were announced last night.

www.recruitireland.com, the website which is part of the Thomas Crosbie Holdings group which includes the Irish Examiner, won the best recruitment website for 2002.

www.fxcentre.com won the award for the best financial website and Mary Mangan, COO of Ireland.com and formerly at director of Buy and Sell, of PostGEM and of Ireland Online, won an award for Significant Contribution to the Internet Industry.

Other awards included 2002 Web Design/Development Agency of Year Award which was won by www.newmedia.com and best e-business website which was won by www.duluxe.ie.

The award for Information Excellence was won by the estate agent website myhome.ie. The internet advertising award was won by ICAN. The best travel award was won by www.visitbritain.com/ie.

The Golden Spider Awards, now in their sixth year, were organised by dot.ie magazine and sponsored by Esat BT.
